Why not? — we thought over a glass of tea on Friday evening. Indeed, our contribution to the field of attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) not only exists, but already consists of several main areas. These are pulse jet engines, turbojet engines, and both types of these engines are directly intended for attack UAVs, as well as pneumatic launch systems for such UAVs (catapults). Not so little, in fact.
Why is that? Because at different times we did some research work, the results of which are published and presented in our articles on the topic of UAVs. What kind of work these are, in fact, even their name alone says. But in short, this is modeling of the ramjet elements, including the resonance tube and petal valves, as well as modeling of the entire ramjet as a whole, where, by the way, we were the first to obtain dimensionless similarity criteria, allowing for easy modeling and scaling of engines of this type. In addition, we were the first to show that to create an attack UAV (cruise missile), it is not at all necessary to spend years creating a special turbojet engine — it is enough to simply buy a commercial micro-turbojet, the price of which will not exceed several thousand dollars. Well, and for dessert, we practiced in the mathematical description of a pneumatic catapult, creating its full mathematical model for the first time.
